Summary

This webinar will depict the basic science of cartilage, the types and classifications of injury, and the treatment of chondral lesions.

Upon completion of this course, the participant will:

  • Understand the biochemical makeup of cartilage.
  • Understand the types of chondral injury.
  • Understand the various surgical treatments of such injury.

    Practicing Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon Fellowship trained in Sports Medicine - Hand and Microsurgery Associates
    After graduating from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, Dr. Wilcox completed his internship and residency at Emory University and his fellowship at The Ohio State University Hospital. He specializes in sports medicine, as well as the operative and nonoperative treatment of the knee, shoulder, elbow and ankle.
